Can A Fish Drown?

YES! My little cousin asked me that question once and I  laughed at first but then later   found out that  fishes can drown...though not technically of course.   Fish, like people, need oxygen to live. A fish out of water, is a fish out of its element. A  fish comes fully equipped with a pair of gills, which  it uses to breathe under water. The gills extract  life-sustaining oxygen from the hydrogen in the water  molecules, in order to regulate the amount of oxygen  intake. This maintains the necessary balance of the  two components of water for the fish to survive. When a fish is taken out of water, and exposed only to  air, not to oxygen and hydrogen containing water, its  gills are unable to control the oxygen intake, the  delicate balance cannot be maintained, and the gills  inhale a lethal overdose of oxygen. The fish  essentially experiences death by "drowning."

A Rose by Any Other Name

is still a rose. But let's not get horticultural all of a sudden here. Speaking of names, I've changed the name of this blog. From the awkwardly phrased, nostalgic but highly derivative " Mind the Twit ," I've turned it to " Just Desert. " But that's not all. Oh no, it's really  not all. Because "just desert" is really a clever way of saying "Jute's scarcity." Even better, the title fits the "desert" theme of this blog perfectly. Scarcity, of course, pretty much explains itself. But "Jute's," well, if you jumble it up and take out one letter, it really spells "just." ROFLMAO See? Smart and  funny and most importantly, BRIEF. Or at least, it's one word shorter than the previous title.
